The Courage To Start Before You're ReadyRead on my website Most women I know are sitting on a God-given idea, waiting for the perfect time to start. I hear it all the time. The quiet whispers of a dream that has been placed on your heart, followed immediately by the loud, logical reasons why right now just isn't the right time. We convince ourselves that we need a flawless business plan, a perfectly curated Instagram feed, and a rock-solid guarantee of success before we take the first step. We think that if we just wait a little longer, read one more book, take one more course, or get one more certification, we'll finally feel "ready." When you wait for the perfect time, you are actually telling God that His timing isn't good enough. You are prioritizing your comfort over your calling. And in the process, you are withholding the exact solution that someone else is desperately praying for. True confidence isn't the absence of fear or the guarantee of success. True confidence is having the courage to start before you are ready. It is the humility to take messy, imperfect action, trusting that God will direct your steps as you move. If you have been waiting for a sign, a blueprint, or a permission slip to finally start that thing you can't stop thinking about, consider this it. 1. Start Before You're Ready You do not have to have the entire staircase figured out to take the first step. In fact, you rarely will. Give yourself permission to be a beginner. Launch the messy version. Write the terrible first draft. Put the offer out there before the website is perfect. The clarity you are looking for will only come through action, not overthinking. You cannot steer a parked car. You have to start moving before God can direct your path. 2. Solve a Real Problem The best ideas don't come from a boardroom; they come from everyday life. Look around you. What is frustrating you? What is broken? What is a struggle you have overcome that others are still fighting? When you focus on solving a real problem for real people, the business builds itself. You don't need a complex marketing strategy when you have a genuine solution to someone's pain point. Focus on the person you are called to serve, and the rest will follow. 3. Trust the Pivot Things will go wrong. You will face setbacks, delays, and literal storms. But when your foundation is rooted in faith, a setback isn't a failure—it's a pivot. It is an opportunity to realign with God's vision and strengthen your resilience. I have seen businesses lose everything in a day, only to rebuild stronger because they trusted that God was using the obstacle to refine their path. Don't let a detour convince you that you are on the wrong road. 4. Let Go of the Outcome This is often the hardest part. We want to control the results. We want to know that if we put in the work, we will get the exact outcome we envisioned. But true faith requires us to surrender the outcome. Your job is obedience; God's job is the results. When you let go of the need to control how it all turns out, you free yourself to simply show up and do the work you were called to do. I Am… EnoughIf you’ve been feeling lost, exhausted, or unsure of who you are anymore, it’s time to pause and remember. This free 10-minute identity reset will help you reclaim your identity, reconnect with God, and remember who you are—without hustling, fixing, or overthinking. → Get the Free Identity Reset Scripture for the Soul"A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps." — Proverbs 16:9 We spend so much time trying to map out the perfect plan, but the real work is in taking the first step and trusting God with the rest. When we surrender our need for control, we create space for Him to do what only He can do. Points to Ponder
